Amazon Abandons Bias-Prone AI Recruitment Tool

Amazon has decided to discontinue an artificial intelligence (AI) recruitment tool that had developed gender bias in its hiring decisions, showcasing the importance of responsible AI governance. The AI system, designed to analyze applications for technical roles, favored male candidates over female ones and was eventually shut down by Amazon's management team.
