Meta AI App Reportedly Publishes Personal Chats Without Users Fully Realizing

April 29, 2025

Meta's standalone AI app reportedly shares personal chats, raising concerns over safe and secure AI practices. The app's 'Discover' feed allows users to interact with a chatbot; however, some users inadvertently published sensitive conversations, such as medical questions, legal concerns, intimate disclosures, and audio recordings. Although Meta claims sharing is opt-in, the feature's design and labeling may have led to user confusion about public visibility.
