AI-Generated Image Wins First Prize, Then Loses

A competitor in a Hohhot, Inner Mongolia photography competition won first prize for an AI-generated image of three sanitation workers. However, after viewers pointed out issues with the photo, including garbled text and unnatural lighting, organizers confirmed the use of AI and revoked the award. The work was then removed from eligibility and archives, and the competition was suspended for review. We strive to create a safe and responsible AI ecosystem—through contributors—JOIN US.
