Purportedly AI-Generated Jeffrey Epstein Video Reportedly Used by Pro-Iran Accounts to Claim Iran War Was Launched as a Cover-Up

March 3, 2026

Anonymous pro-Iran accounts on various platforms, such as X (HDX News and GPX News), reportedly disseminated a purportedly AI-generated video featuring Jeffrey Epstein during the Iran conflict. These accounts claimed it was authentic, asserting that U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran were a distraction from Epstein-related material. The Washington Post revealed that HDX News' post garnered over 6.8 million views and GPX News' version gathered more than 4.7 million before the accounts were suspended by X.
