Purportedly AI-Generated Videos Impersonate Brunei Police in 'Real Money Magic' Scam on Social Media

The Royal Brunei Police Force has issued a public warning regarding deepfake videos, allegedly generated using AI, impersonating police officers on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. These videos are said to promote a fraudulent investment scheme called 'Real Money Magic,' promising guaranteed financial returns. It is reported that scammers use deepfakes and synthesized audio to build trust with victims and persuade them to transfer money. This scam has not been traced back to any official institutions.
