Reddit Scam Ads Reportedly Used Deepfake News Segments and Cloned Media Sites to Promote Allegedly Fake AI Investment Platforms

A report claims that sponsored Reddit ads, masquerading as legitimate financial news from sources such as BBC, Financial Times, and The Guardian, promoted purportedly fake AI investment platforms. These platforms allegedly included Wencoin STX, Warrior Coin AI, and Nevo Coin. The campaign appears to have presented the scam under the guise of credible financial journalism by using cloned publisher pages and deepfake-style news footage intended to persuade users into disclosing their contact information and making deposits.
